We are a member of the Indonesian Blue Swimming Crab Association (APRI) and continue sourcing from the Indonesia Blue Swimming Crab (BSC) – trap & gillnet FIP. We are proud to say that as Lampung Bay Seafood grows, the fishers and fisheries where we source from will grow together.
Creating a better future for all.
- Where possible, we source at least 50% of raw cooked BSC to be picked directly at our processing facility.
- We will set up our own mini plant or partner with existing ones through a mini plant improvement program.
- We are putting in place best-in-class traceability system.
- We will partner with NGOs to provide our fishers with basic support services and to establish a financial resiliency program for fishers.
- We will direct a portion of additional margin from value-added/sustainability premium to the community and fishery.
Who we collaborate with.
APRI supports Blue Swimming Crab (BSC) sustainability initiatives in Indonesia. It is benefiting all the supply chains of from major industries involving to the more than 90,000 fishermen and 185,000 women directly employed in the BSC blue swimming crab fisheries.
The FIP aims to support scientific research through collaborations with Universities, to develop a national Fishery Management plan through a partnership with the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, and to establish fishery management by local communities.
